Association of Occupational Health Karnataka

4th All India Conference of Industrial Medicine at Bangalore - 1953

Karnataka Branch of IAOH was started in 1950 with Major L.R. Sharma as President. Some of the founder members of the Association were

Dr. M.N. Mahadevan, Dr. B. J. Magdum,  Dr. M. Shivaram, Dr. Govindaswamy & Dr.Kothanda Rao.

 

The Karnataka Branch is the second largest branch in the country with 360 Members.

The Karnataka Branch was registered on 14th March 2008 under Karnataka Societies Registration Act, 1960 as

" Association of Occupational Health Karnataka "( GDN-S256-2007-08 ).

AOHK has a separate Memorandum of Association Rules & Bye-laws based on the constitution of IAOH.

 

AOHK Office was inaugurated on 19-11-2003 at the following Address -- API Bhavan, Ground Floor, 16-F, Miller Tank Bed Area, Vasantha Nagar, Bangalore-560002.

AOHK Website was launched on 20 - 07 - 2013.

 

Annual State Conference of the Association is held every year.

Occupational Health Day is celebrated every year on July 9th.

The other activities of the Association are arranging scientific meetings, lectures, seminars and encouraging and awarding for the research studies on Occupational Health.

 

AOHK has instituted the following Awards and they are given during the annual Conference to the selected professionals.
